Oh Mighty. You trouble my heart. I fell in love with you in the 80's, when you were young, just one store on Bailey, when I would visit my Sister at UB and come to you with 3 or 4 dollars....you seemed so exotic and cheap. And then when I moved here, and stuck with you when you grew, and started giving me tostito's instead of the nice thick strip ships I loved so. And now things are just mediocre. Still a fine notch above the sterile offerings of Taco Bell, yet, the order entry errors, and random greasy beef are getting hard to tolerate. Once, I ordered some burrito for myself, and two bean and cheese for my boy. When we got to the house, we found we had two BEEF and cheese. Fine with me, but the boy doesn't like the spicy beef. Sometimes I order a beef and cheese, and the wrapper is dripping with hot grease. Other times, I attempt to unwrap the taco, and the paper is sticking, and rips the thing apart. And finally, when I went here last, and got a fish taco, the fish "filet" was a crunchy and chewy thing. Not at all like when I ordered the same thing last spring. So convenience, great. Consistency, not so much. Please work on training and quality control. If these things are not resolved, I will continue to go out of my way, to ETS.

I really do love the chicken taco salad (with banana peppers), especially that now that it does not come in a calorieriffic taco bowl. I do not love that I'm charged anywhere from $.20 to $.60 for salsa instead of dressing. Dudes! It's a TACO salad. I want salsa! MT used to be not as franchisey, but now they serve tostitos chips in a bag when you order nachos. Go to Ziggys for real nachos. And, no, I really DO NOT want a fish taco. That's just gross. Stop asking me.

I've been coming here for years off and on..and since I had no food in the house - it was a light at the end of long day. I pretty much get the same thing...I know...boring..but not eating meat, I'm just thankful for a 'decent' option in fast food! I get the vegetarian burrito - with peppers/onions...sr cream, medium sauce. It turns out quite large..and if they make it well (enough of each item) it's amazing! Once in a while you get someone who makes it incorrectly and you can tell...but this location near me seems to get it right more often than not...was a happy camper last evening, needless to say. And for $6 and change for 2 large burritios...a deal!

The Mighty Taco is such an institution that all Buffalonian's compare Mexican food to it. All in all the food is a franchise cut above Taco Bell if you are honest and break it down to the "combo" level. The seasoned ground beef is the best thing left at the Mighty T from the early days when a beef and cheese burrito was the only thing that would finish off a night of tipping genesee cream ales. The franchise feel has tarnished this one for me.

yah, yah, its not mex. yah, yah, its not tex-mex. but... please listen... iTS ITS OWN THING. understood, if you don't like it, perhaps you don't know the context, esp if you are coming from somewhere else. i moved to a 'burg NE of buffalo in '79; shortly thereafter, turning 18 (the legal drinking age at the time) and we went to downtown buffalo. altho MT is a destination, it so happened that our fave places for mass drinks and long island iced teas was a block or so away from a hole in the wall place called mighty taco. it was NOT like it is today. we'd usually go @ 5a, before MT closed but after last call. we'd get the same thing; super mighty, extra hot. we were masochists; it somehow detracted from our hangovers. or not. but, they were good and filling and got something in our belly to buffer the booze. the original hertel ave location was a tiny storefront; no seating except on the window sills. you ordered thru a small rectangle cut in the wall; thru it, you'd see the stoned eyes of whomever was taking your order. we'd be pretty-well lit, so it mattered little as long as we got our super mighties. the options were less then; exactly what it was, long forgotten by this cowboy. mighty, super mighty, a taco or three. now, as mentioned, things are much more franciz-y. that brings it closer to my mom's house in clarence, which is a good thing. not tons of time to be traipsing downtime when visiting mom; and, its on the way back from the airport. alas, the demise of the loganberry drink... NOTE: outdoor seating... in your car in the lot. ps will have to try the chix taco salad w/ 'nanner peppers. thanks Kelly. Joel, yah, but we can't go to the original Flamingo, either.

widely acclaimed as the greatest fast food in the greater buffalo area, but, i don't know... 3 stars seems fair. it's reasonably inexpensive, (a decent meal will run you between 6 and 8 bucks) and has all the taco options you'd expect, in addition to a few you might not. chicken or steak roastitos come highly recommended, consisting of meat, peppers and onions rolled up in a tortilla. BBQ Beef, available in summer is a nice change of pace... spending the 15 cents on sour cream is always, always worth it. on the negative side, service is inconsistent. and, by "service," of course i mean "not screwing up your drive thru order." at this location, the cashiers are mostly attractive-looking 16 year old girls who are inexplicably pissed off at you, or middle aged women who get pretty freaked out if you preempt their script by telling them you'd like hot sauce before they've had a chance to ask. there's a lot of variables that go into a tacos order, (hard shell? soft? hot, medium, mild? sour cream?) and if you have a fairly complex order, chances are not good that it's going to come out the window the way you like it. only open until 1am, which is sort of bogus.

I said ok I'll give them another chance. Ordered 2 El Niño burrito, asked for hot sauce end to end. The voice over the speaker continue asking for extras to add on. I said that will be it. No, another sales pitch. When I ate those burritos the hot sauce was only at one end. The meat does not have flavor with out the hot sauce. Customer service is zero. This has happened at the Delaware Ave store also. Mighty Taco started wonderfully but now with meat coming out of a plastic bag. The McDonald's of tacos.

Everytime I visit Buffalo I stop in to get my usual - a Super Mighty and an Apple Empanada with a medium Loganberry. I never realized how important it is to have drive thru options like this available until I moved away. Now in Atlanta, I find myself roaming the streets looking for a drive thru taco place other than Bell. They don't exist.

I mean, you go to one mighty taco you go to them all. Don't expect a wildly different experience here. It's not a BAD mighty taco. But there's really nothing setting this place above and beyond any other mighty tacos. This one hasn't made me sick and it doesn't smell like Gym shoes. Neither of which are really huge pieces of praise... but... y'know... tacos.

"Cheap tacos made with low quality, flavorless meat then sopped with sauce making it so wet that it slops all over your hands, mouth, and clothes?" Possibly still on board... Am I hung over? Am I drunk? "Made by teenagers that couldn't care less?" Uh... how drunk am I? Above find my thoughts on the only possible explanation for why someone would visit any of Buffalo's Mighty Taco locations. The food is never *good*. The food, even just served is in fact rarely *warm*. Meat is unflavored and cheap. Tortillas have the consistency of toilet paper. Burritos and special offerings like the Buffito are so inundated with fat-filled sauce such that they drown out the trace flavors of other ingredients and sop napkins and body parts. In all seriousness, a 12-year old can make better food at home with an El Paso starter kit. Mighty Taco is bad fast food, and the only reason I can think of to consume this slop is to satisfy a mighty case of the munchies.
